Field Interviewer HD 2.0 Release

CARY, North Carolina — February 24, 2023 — Signalscape™, a leader in public safety and government technologies, announces the release of its StarWitness Field Interviewer HD firmware update version 2.0. This latest Field Interviewer HD firmware release allows you to stream live recordings over secure Wi-Fi and view them on a compatible device by connecting to the Field Interviewer's web-enabled streaming site.

Here's a summary of what's new:

• Stream live recordings over secure Wi-Fi and view them on a compatible device by connecting to the Field Interviewer's web-enabled streaming site. 
• Improved intuitive menu layout displays settings by category. 
• Added recording metadata, including the complete, accurate authentication code, the MAC address of the device, versions of the application and operating system, and a customizable device name.  
• Added warning to ensure the user notices significant time changes due to a clock reset.

View Live Interviews Remotely
The Field Interviewer HD offers two modes of operation for live streaming of interviews over secure Wi-Fi, Direct Connection, and Local Network Connection. Direct Connection operates without the need for any additional hardware or network infrastructure. Your compatible device connects directly to the Field Interviewer HD through a secure direct Wi-Fi connection. Local Network Connection uses any local Wi-Fi network to increase the range of the streaming to your compatible web-enabled device, including laptops, Android devices, and iPads.
 
Updates to the Metadata and More
We've added additional data to the information stored with an interview recording, including the complete, accurate authentication code, the MAC address of the Field Interviewer HD, multiple formats of the date, time, timezone, and daylight savings time information, versions of the application and operating system, the and Device Name. The Device Name is now customizable and displayed on the screen.
